Rohn 1 Imagine a world where every time someone wanted to buy or sell a product their only option was to travel to a store. Today, shopping on the internet is commonplace, but less than 20 years ago companies would hire technicians to teach them how to use the scroll bar and other simple functions. Once enough people knew how to use the internet, the idea of selling products online came into fruition. Many people believed they could make a large sum of money quickly by starting a business online. Before this time the internet was too complicated to use for most people. Online shopping and retail have revolutionized shopping and has promoted economic growth, made it easier to buy and sell, and has created a new type of danger. The internet provides a way for small businesses to start up. In the world of commerce, The Internet threatened established incumbents with oblivion and that small upstarts could find opportunities in the digital age.
